Dear
Friends and Neighbors,
I value my community
and all that it has to offer. As a Town Council Member, I will work
diligently to protect our quality of life and preserve the unique character
of Flower Mound.
I have made it a
priority to attend the many neighborhood meetings and candidate forums.
I have learned the critical issues concerning our community. My platform
is not based on my own agenda, but on the needs and desires expressed
by you, our residents, the people I'd very much like to represent.
We need a better
way of attracting quality businesses without throwing away our SMARTGrowth
standards. We need a better way of accessing our mineral rights without
destroying our Town's Master Plan and compromising our Town's health,
safety and welfare. We need greater transparency and consistency in
government to eliminate any question of favoritism. We need to provide
fair, professional service to all of our customers, developers and citizens
alike. We need more diligence and accountability in government spending.
In short, we need to improve the Town's level of service and not be
satisfied with the status quo.
I am an experienced
business woman. I will lead by example. I will take action and make
a positive difference. I have demonstrated this in my campaign and will
continue to demonstrate this if elected as your representative. I cannot
serve on Town Council as your representative without your support. Please
vote. "Together we can make a difference!"
Sincerely,
Virginia Jellison
